A cooking class with locals, from market to table
The class starts at the market, where your host shows you how to choose fresh produce. You learn which herbs smell right, how spices are sold and what is in season.
Then you walk to the kitchen, wash your hands and put on an apron. You prepare a table of salads, layer a tagine and learn how to tell when it is ready. At the end, you sit down and eat everything together.
A market visit without stress or pressure
Markets in Marrakech are busy, and visitors sometimes meet touts or pushy sellers. With a local guide beside you, the visit stays calm. The guide politely keeps unwanted offers away and leads you to honest stalls.
We do not use commission shops. You buy only what the recipes need, at fair prices, and your guide explains how bargaining works. Many visitors say the market is the part that makes the day feel real.

Your local host and guide: licensed, knowledgeable and honest
Your host knows Moroccan food from daily life, not from a script. They explain why a dish is made a certain way, answer your questions about ingredients and share simple tricks you can use at home.
A licensed local guide leads the market walk and speaks English. Ask us if you prefer a female host or guide, and we will tell you honestly whether one is available.
4Cooking with children and different diets
Children are welcome, and they often love the market and the chopping. Tell us their ages when you book, so we can give them safe jobs such as washing herbs and mixing salads.
We cook vegetarian and vegan meals on request. Please tell us about allergies in advance, and we will change the menu. We cannot promise a completely allergen-free kitchen, so be clear about what you need.

5Practical details: timing, clothes and what you take home
The class lasts about four hours, and you can choose a morning start for lunch or an afternoon start for dinner. We meet at the market gate or at your riad. Come hungry, because you eat everything you make.
Wear clothes that can get a little messy and comfortable closed shoes. You take home simple recipe notes, so you can cook the same meal for friends. The kitchen is warm, so bring a light top.
